1. Two different things: the product and the website
It helps to separate them. The product is the UnPoco USB stick and the assistant that runs on it. The website is unpoco.ai, where you can learn about UnPoco and join the waitlist. They are completely separate, and they handle information very differently.
2. The UnPoco product collects nothing
The assistant on the stick is built to be fully offline and fully private, by design:
- It runs on the computer you plug it into, using that computer's own hardware. There is no cloud and no server involved.
- It makes no network calls while it runs. Your questions, documents, photos, and voice never leave the device. You can verify this with the computer in airplane mode.
- It has no analytics, no telemetry, and no “phone home.” It does not build a profile of you and does not report anything back to us or anyone else.
- The only information that exists anywhere is what you choose to save on the stick — your conversations and settings — which stay on the stick, in your possession.
- When you quit and unplug, nothing about your session is left on the host computer.
In short: we cannot see what you do with UnPoco, because there is no path for that information to reach us.
3. What this website collects
We keep this deliberately small.
Waitlist email
If you join the waitlist, we collect the email address you enter and a note of which form you used (for example, the hero or the footer), so we can email you about the launch. That's it — we don't ask for your name, and we don't require an account.
Messages you send us
If you contact us through the contact form or by email, we receive the email address and the message you send, so we can reply and help you.
Basic technical information
Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically process limited technical data (such as your IP address and browser type) to serve pages and protect against abuse. We do not use this to identify or track individuals, and we keep no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
4. Cookies and tracking
We aim to keep this site clean. We do not use advertising cookies, third-party trackers, or analytics that follow you around the web. Any storage we use is limited to what's needed for the site to function.
5. Why we collect it, and our legal basis
We collect your email only to do the thing you asked us to do — notify you about the launch or reply to your message. Where laws such as the GDPR apply, our legal basis is your consent (which you can withdraw at any time) and our legitimate interest in operating and securing the website.
6. Who we share it with
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the website and send email (for example, our hosting and email-delivery providers), acting on our instructions. We may also disclose information if required by law.
7. How long we keep it
We keep waitlist emails until UnPoco launches and you've had the chance to hear about it, or until you ask us to remove you — whichever comes first. We keep support messages only as long as needed to resolve your request and keep reasonable records. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.
8. Your choices and rights
- Unsubscribe from waitlist emails at any time using the link in any email we send.
- Access or delete the email address we hold for you — just ask.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, or limit how your information is used.

9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the limited information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is ever 100% secure, but because we collect so little, there's very little to protect in the first place.
10. Children
This website isn't directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us their email, contact us and we'll remove it.
11. International visitors
We may process the email you give us in countries other than your own. Wherever it's processed, we apply the protections described in this policy.
12. Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we'll change the “Last updated” date above and, for meaningful changes, do our best to let waitlist members know.
